I am a certified US Chess Federation Senior Tournament Director and a FIDE National Arbiter. I am currently pursuing my Associate National Tournament Director and FIDE Arbiter certifications.

I am proud to have recently been one of two pairing tournament directors for the 18th Annual All-girls National Chess Championship.

  2. Customized Tournament Formats: I can organize a variety of tournament formats, including Swiss system, Round Robin, Quick, Blitz, and Classical formats, to suit the preferences of participants and accommodate different skill levels.
  3. Registration and Promotion: I manage the registration process, making it simple for players to sign up. I also promote the tournament through various channels, attracting a diverse and competitive field of participants.
  4. Professional Arbitration: Certified chess arbiters ensure that all matches are conducted fairly and follow FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs) regulations, offering an equitable environment for players.
  5. Awards: For non-scholastic competitions, I structure a generous prize fund payout. For scholastic competitions, I arrange for all trophies and/or certificates, as necessary, to recognize exceptional achievements.
  6. Online Registration and Pairing System: I utilize Swiss Sys and WinTD softwares for online registration and automated pairing, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in match scheduling.
  7. Post-Tournament Standings and Feedback: I offer post-tournament updates, including cross tables, standings, and round-by-round pairings, and gather feedback to continually improve our events, ensuring a higher quality experience with each tournament.

  1. Player Registration and Communication: I manage the registration process, communicate important details to participants, and assist players with any inquiries, ensuring a stress-free experience for all involved.
  2. Pairing and Scheduling: I create pairings, schedule matches, and manage round transitions efficiently.
  3. Rule Adherence and Fair Play: As a certified arbiter, I ensure that all games are played according to FIDE/US Chess regulations, providing a fair and competitive environment for participants.
  4. Tournament Supervision: I oversee the entire event, managing player disputes, ensuring timely rounds, and addressing any issues that may arise during the tournament.
  5. Standings Management: I provide the standings with tie breaks for the award ceremonies.
  6. Post-Tournament Standings and Feedback: I offer post-tournament updates, including cross tables, standings, and round-by-round pairings, and gather feedback to continually improve our events, ensuring a higher quality experience with each tournament.

Fee Schedule

Organizer

  • One-day event: The greater of 30% of profit or $200.
  • Two day or more event: The greater of 50% of profit or $500.

Director

  • Non-Scholastic
    • One tournament director for open tournaments : Senior Certified and National FIDE Arbiter
      • Per diem $250.
    • Two tournament directors for open tournaments: One Senior Certified and National FIDE Arbiter and one Club Certified
      • Per diem $450.
  • Scholastic
    • One tournament director: Senior Certified and National FIDE Arbiter
      • $1.25 per registered player
    • Two tournament directors: One Senior Certified and national FIDE Arbiter and one Club Certified
      • $2.00 per registered player
